New Product Line

12/19/01 - As part of our ongoing developments, PCA has been further developing our existing product lines. Our battery cables and wire harnesses feature custom injection molds, braiding, convoluted tubing, heat-shrink or dilated sleeves, a variety of terminals, solder dipping and protective battery covers (boots). In addition to expanding our wire harness and lead wire assembly capabilities, we have developed two new product lines this year. We are pleased to offer overmolded battery cables and a full line of PVC boots direct to our customers. Other materials may be specified on request.

PCA will be developing an overmolded battery cable for maintenance free batteries. This product will be used in the heavy truck and chassis industries. The system will be capable of joining multiple batteries in various voltage systems. This new system combined with Badger Wire’s heavy gauge super flex cable will create an interconnect system of the highest quality. The system will conform to SAE standards and will include a stackable as well as nonstackable type of connector. PCA will also carry a full line of boots, caps, studs, and nuts that are used to connect and insulate the assemblies. We have already begun quoting and prototyping these products to some of our customers. If you are interested in these products, please contact our sales department.

As a battery cable manufacturer, Precision Cable sees the need and demand for insulating boots. Both the safety and longevity of the battery cable are enhanced with the use of terminal insulators. PCA now has the boots shown above available for direct sale to our customers. All boots are made of standard PVC, with the P-0008-BT fitting a 2 gauge wire, the P-0018-BT and the P-0043-BT fitting a 4 gauge wire, and the P-0016-BT a 6 gauge wire.
